Molex is looking for a Lead Firmware Engineer to support and develop Active cable designs for Hyperscalers.

What You Will Do
- Design leading-edge embedded firmware solutions for the data services industry, influence next generation active cable design in QSFP and OSFP platforms using innovative PHY chips in coordination with signal integrity designers and hardware engineers
- Architecting, evaluating, validating and/or designing real-time firmware
- Work closely with our Hyperscale customers and marketing teams to understand the customer’s application needs and translate them into best-in-class, innovative, quality solutions
- Work with signal integrity and mechanical engineers to develop next-generation 112-224G high-speed interconnect active subsystems and modules.
- Generate evaluation and qualification reports or presentation materials for both internal and customer use.
- Provide expert advice to Marketing, Sales and/or customers on firmware related matters.
- Be up-to-date with industry trend on firmware technology, high speed connector requirements and disseminate / share information among team members
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Strong experience in C and C++.
- Developing firmware for ARM Cortex M-Processors
- Strong work experience of serial protocols like I2C, SPI, MDIO, UART etc.
- Ability to work in a cross functional team.
- Experience in developing Python scripts to support firmware loading and validation.
- Experience in interfacing chips with APIs and implementing chip APIs in microcontrollers.
- Experience in firmware version control using GitLab
- Have a Bachelors in Electronics or Computer Science.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with STM32 microcontroller
- Experience with optical pluggable modules like SFP or QSFP and CMIS.
- Experience with hardware development and signal integrity
- Have a Master’s Degree or a Doctorate in Electronics or Computer Science
