Koch-Glitsch UK is looking for an experienced Chemical Engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to join our group based in Stoke-on-Trent in the UK.

You will be working with a group of engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced modern office-based environment that requires you to prepare technical solutions and support sales to customers based in Northern Europe, South Africa, and the Near East.
What You Will Do
- Review of enquiries generated by sales team
- Work directly with end user customers, process licensors and engineering contractors to understand their technical requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals, including hydraulic design and estimation of trays, packings and other internals, and to write quotations.
- Liaise with external sales to ensure the most suitable equipment is quoted to customers within acceptable time frames and support the sales team in the market with customer visits.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations/legislations.
- Prepare targeted process simulations to ensure Koch Glitsch products are specified
- Provide process and hydraulic trouble shooting services to customers
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering
- Proven working engineering experience in a refinery or in a plant producing petrochemicals or from a technical proposal role
- Able to develop technical solutions and articulate them to customers
- Able to demonstrate customer focus
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be self-motivated
- Have a full driving license
- Available for business travel, including overseas trips (approx. 10%).
