Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a detail oriented, resourceful, critical thinker for an Administrative Assistant role supporting our Containerboard paper mill operations in Toledo, OR!
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific Toledo is a producer of brown paper used to make cardboard and is a leader in recycling in the Northwest. The Toledo Mill is located within a 10-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean. Many outdoor activities are available near the mill including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and boating.
What You Will Do
- Precision paperwork database/entry
- Outage packet printing and distribution
- Dialmycalls database management/updates
- Order and maintain copy machines, office supplies, etc. For the maintenance department
- Assist with outage reports, meetings minutes, and meeting scheduling
- Maintain the JHA database
- Maintain the Job Plan database
- Attend and assist with the Mechanics committee agendas, notes, and distribution
- Apprenticeship administration and documentation, including educational materials
- R-stamp administration assistance (when program is in place). Help with getting program going.
- Annual Outage document management and tracking assistance
- Annual outage misc. task assignment and tracking (rentals, etc.)
- Promote safe work practices and maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including the use of all PPE as required
- Work fulltime M-F; flexible to work OT, weekends as needed
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in an administrative or clerical position
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite [Microsoft Word (creating documents), Excel (creating spreadsheets and utilizing formulas) and Outlook (scheduling meetings and creating, sending, responding to email)]
- Basic office knowledge such as copying, scanning, faxing and using phone systems
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping or standing
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with MP2 or Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS)
- Experience utilizing systems to generate statistical reports and work orders
