Grounds Keeper/Landscaper

Salary:
· Starting pay is at $20.00 - $ 23.00/hour, based on experience.
· You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the mill.
Shift: 10-hour, Day Shift Only (5:00/6:00 a.m. – 3:30/4:30 p.m.)
- Only candidates who are flexible and available to work any shift will be considered. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends based on Shipping needs.
Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Maintains and repairs to the plant’s properties to include trash pickup, lawncare, weatherproofing and operating landscaping equipment.
- Maintaining gardens and lawns, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, watering plants, installing sprinkler and irrigation systems, fertilizing weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and applying pesticides. Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment.
- Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing, covering outdoor furniture with tarps, tying down unsecured items, etc.
- Prepares work orders after finishing each job; prepares maintenance schedules, ensuring proper tools and materials necessary for work orders are aligned.
- Working in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment to include extended periods of time in non-air conditioned or unheated areas.
- Working safely, and adhering to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Other duties as assigned and/or filling in other B&G team roles as required.
- Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- 1 Year Manufacturing production experience
- What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications):
· Minium two (2) years’ experience within a Manufacturing environment with 6+ months Sawmill experience using heavy equipment.
· Knowledgeable of repair and general maintenance to lawn care equipment.
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC-based production reporting systems applications.
