As a member of the Data Management, Enablement & Transformation (DMET) team, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation and leverage your indirect tax knowledge in an exciting data driven environment. This key role will create value by partnering across capabilities to drive sustainable transformation. What You Will Do
- Help develop and execute the tax transformation strategies and roadmaps for SUT, VAT, Property Tax capabilities in alignment with the overall DMET strategy and the indirect tax capability vision.
- Drive transformation that provides continuous improvement, enables enterprise growth and captures value.
- Apply your indirect tax experience and knowledge with modern technology to develop transformation infrastructures that will support the re-engineering and optimization of indirect tax processes, positions, and decision-making deliverables.
- Assist indirect tax capabilities in monitoring, assessing, and implementing tax related legislative and reporting changes through innovation, transformation, and data management.
- Partner with other DMET teams, business teams and stakeholders to understand data and process lifecycles in order to be a change agent driving process improvement and efficiency while influencing the way people, data and technology are used.
- Collaborate to capture business requirements around indirect tax transformation opportunities to ensure the deliverables meet the needs of the capability.
- Ability to communicate benefits of proposed changes, alternatives, and cost/benefit analysis to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate and provide guidance through change management involving process conversions and transformations ensuring effective and successful implementation and capability readiness.
- Facilitate and promote data governance and security.
- Promote applicable process technology usage with agreed upon frameworks and best practices.
- Collaborate to manage projects and provide communications to keep the tax capability, leadership, and other stakeholders connected.
- Collaborate with partners, internal and external, to drive and execute on process transformation and analytics opportunities in an ever-changing tax and technology environment.
- Promote data as an asset and optimal use of modern technology and digital infrastructures.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience leading or facilitating data management/process transformation
- Experience in data delivery and analytics
- Knowledge of a broad range of indirect tax functions such as Property Tax, VAT, Sales and Use Tax, Credits & Incentives, Audit, etc.
- Experience in communicating and presenting to various levels within an organization
- Experience training or developing others
- Proficient in tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI
What Will Put You Ahead
- Previous CPA firm or multi-national corporation experience
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and methodology
- Transformation initiative experience for large multi-national corporation
- Experience with Python, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Denodo, C3AI or cloud computing platforms
- Tax software applications experience (Onesource, Vertex, Avalara, PTMS)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following (Accounting, Finance, Business, Accounting or Technology)
