In this role you will work and strategize closely with the Product Development team, quality management and business partners to determine the best quality planning for the business unit including the resource deploy, quality target, and customer communication method. This will include PDP execution like testing/qualification/Safe launch and potential customer questions and problem resolution. You will also be developing and mentoring/monitoring the direct reports to maximize their capabilities and retaining the best talents for Molex.

You will develop and drive an overall Quality Plan to manage and mitigate project risk to ensure a Flawless Product Launch that meets Internal/External Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost expectations. You will guide the plant quality team for zero defect quality culture and work with plant quality management to drive the alignment and continuous improvement across all plants.
What You Will Do
- To understand and develop the strength of each direct report, communicate the career path, set up the best dedicated training/development plan for each of them. Guiding the non-direct report as needed in specific case.
- Ensures the overall NW projects have robust Quality Planning for new products development, focus on the voice of customer and comply with customer/regulatory requirements and internal expectations.
- As leading Design AQP role for the key project, perform the best practice for the key project to ensure the successfully launch.
- Discuss and setup the KPI expectations for each individual report engineer to help motivate the potential of team member.
- Work with each customer representative and cross functional team to setup the overall flawless launch strategy across networking products. Ensure all the necessary action been taken during flawless launch.
- Monitor the AQP team resources compare what are the technical/product/process difficult we might have gap with next customer application/project.
- Communicate the external/internal quality concern/improvement/opportunities to the management, have all the interesting parties/stakeholder in the same page and optimize the resource allocation.
- Understand/Practice/Provide Guidance of the KOCH 5 dimensions & guiding principles, Lean / Six Sigma, ISO&IATF 16949, and Change Management by following the organization procedures and provide guidance to your team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are
- BS Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 7 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role or related engineering field.
- 5 years of experience working in the automotive industry.
What Puts You Ahead
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree
- Experienced in DOE, Advance Quality Planning Tools like DFMEA, Lean / Six Sigma, reliability test plans.
- Experience in Quality engineering/manager in a new-product introduction environment
- Experience performing PFMEA/DFMEA and using other Advanced Quality Planning tools.
- Experience in cable/connector design/manufacturing
