What You Will Do In Your Role:
- Support customer(s) and representatives, focusing on Ford products, when conducting Quality system or process audits to agreed-upon standard by:
- Defining how the Molex Quality Management System (QMS) works in tandem with customer quality plans.
- Demonstrating/providing internal documentation and data as proof of compliance
- Being well-versed in customer specific requirements, product specifications, & customer application.
- Ability to convey process to recognized automotive industry standards.
- Being adept in describing Molex internal business process including product release, process control/testing, non-compliant material management, document/data management and change review.
- Performing data analysis and providing monthly/ quarterly reporting.
- Initiate and drive problem-solving/8D activities internally or at customer sites regarding performance drop-off or product failure.
- Analyze and solve complex problems acting as a liaison between the customer and the internal teams.
- Lead audit teams to ensure that implementation, training, and go-live actions are meeting or have met the customer(s) expectations. Determine necessary quality improvement factors and activities.
- Work with customers and Molex engineering/manufacturing/supply chain/ product teams to resolve problems.
- During problem solving activities, produce or provide proof of compliance using Molex internal documentation or modification of such to provide clear evidence. Ensure systems are captured in business processes consistent with customer expectations and internal processes.
- Conduct regular quality review meetings with customers on quality planning and implementation, product reliability, case closure time, and overall product experience with emphasis on assessing customer satisfaction levels.
- In conjunction with the plant and corporate warranty team, ensure the acquisition, analysis, and management of returned parts and warranty claim data.
- Manage resulting items to timely closure and statistically validate the effectiveness of countermeasures.
- Monitor customer scorecards and customer systems to ensure compliance and timeliness in activities.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Experience as Customer Quality Engineer in automotive or electromechanical technology business
- Experience with Quality Management Systems such as Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science
- Experience using tools to identify root cause (8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Red X, etc.)
- Experience with Excel (charts, graph, V lookup, pivot tables) and creating presentations in Power Point
- Must be a highly responsible individual who can work independently and with minimal supervision
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Electronics experience or vehicle antenna experience
- Familiar with ISO9001
- Familiar with ISO/TS16949 or VDA or equivalent standards
- Sustainment or implementation of a Quality Management System
- Experience in the implementation of core tools including APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and development of control plans
- American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification
- Experience using SAP or similar
