As an Enterprise Architect with KBX, you will play a central role in defining, implementing, and leading the evolution of our enterprise technology strategy. This role will require you to strategize, shape, and integrate application architecture, ensuring the organization is equipped to extract substantial value from cutting-edge applications and platforms. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other architects to ensure that our technology solutions align with our business goals and strategic objectives.
Our Team
As an integral part of our Enterprise Architect team your role entails reporting directly to the CTO and maintaining close collaboration with fellow Enterprise Architects. Your responsibilities extend to fostering seamless cooperation with both KBX's business and IT professionals, in addition to engaging with our counterparts at Koch Industries.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop enterprise-level solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and align with business strategies.
- Build comprehensive understanding of our business application portfolio, analyzing interdependencies to assist in the creation and provision of long-term solutions aligned with modern application architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into technical solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to ensure that KBX remains at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, standards, and guidelines.
- Design and implement architectural standards and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability across the organization.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with architectural decisions and technology implementations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project, platform, and product teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot intricate functional and technical issues, facilitating swift resolution and/or collaboration with vendors and developers.
- Elicit, analyze, and validate application requirements through various techniques, and assess feasibility of integrating them into the existing architecture.
- Identify alternative architectural approaches and create recommendations based on economic analysis and business requirements.
- Demonstrate courage to challenge conventional thinking, escalate issues when necessary, work independently, and value diverse cultures and opinions.
- Collaborate with other enterprise architects, business units, IT teams and third-party consultants to implement technology solutions and projects that support KBX business outcomes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, technology architecture design, application portfolio management, and systems integrations
- Experience evaluating the business’ application portfolio to create solutions aligned with modern application architecture
- Experience with modern application architectures including APIs, Microservices and Event-Driven Architectures
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, and secure enterprise solutions
- Experience collaborating, communicating and advising business and technology leaders, users, and stakeholders
- Experience evaluating business requirements and data to address business needs
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-level solutions that seamlessly integrate with existing systems and align with business strategies
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience evaluating new technologies, tools and methodologies to integrate for long-term solutions
- Experience working in a SaaS company and integrating with customers
- Experience working in the Transportation or Logistics industry
- Experience creating and maintaining architectural documentation for standards and guidelines
- Experience as an Enterprise Architect in a large-scale and complex IT environment.
- Experience in communicating and presenting to users/stakeholders at various levels within an organization and globally.
- Experience in software development and application rationalization, with knowledge of cost of ownership and other means to measure application maturity
