Manufacturing Engineer - $5,000 Sign-on Bonus!
Georgia-Pacific Dixie Consumer Products is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Manufacturing Engineer role supporting the Dixie facility located in Lexington, KY. The Lexington facility uses state of the art technology to manufacture Dixie® cups and lids in a progressive production environment. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the ability to challenge the status quo to facilitate continuous improvement; collaborate across roles and diverse groups, gather and share feedback; stay current in best practices and focus on safely improving productivity, reducing costs through process/equipment optimization and operator knowledge/skill improvements.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement complete asset strategies for process equipment including condition-based monitoring, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, operating envelope, operator basic care and spare parts optimization.
- Evaluate, approve, and prioritize equipment repairs and scheduled shutdowns utilizing the asset maintenance work process.
- Work closely with operators and customers to troubleshoot process, quality and equipment issues and evaluate and implement improvement ideas.
- Develop, initiate, and execute capital projects.
- Lead root cause analysis process and execute effective corrective actions
- Create a safe workplace with all environmental, safety and business practices with emphasis on identifying and mitigating critical risks.
- Maintain necessary departmental records and reports.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- At least 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or military environment.
- Experience implementing and sustaining work processes.
- Troubleshooting skills within equipment and processes.
- Experience and ability to successfully work in a team-based environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and project management skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in the cups, printing, pulp or paper industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- Experience with facilitating continuous improvement teams and lean manufacturing.
- Experience demonstrating root cause analysis, reliability best practices, reliability KPI’s, and tools like gap planning and pareto analysis.
- Project engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in process controls engineering or reading and writing logic programming.
