INVISTA Polypropylene Plant in Longview, Texas is hiring an Electrician to join our team.

What You Will Do
- Perform at a journeyman Industrial Electrician level.
- Perform routine troubleshooting of 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC and 5KVAC, and DC motor controls, associated motors, etc.
- Troubleshoot and repair, Electrical devices (limit/selector switches, solenoids…), area lighting, transformers, feeder cables, AC frequency drives, motor protection relays, electronic heat controllers, and electric heat trace systems, etc.
- Progress condition-based maintenance programs.
- Perform complex LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) activities.
- Repair electrical systems and restore them to perform their intended function.
- Perform Calibration/Function testing on both electrical and process instrumentation.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining low and medium voltage switchgear and Variable Frequency drives.
- Experience conducting detailed maintenance, modification, and root cause analysis of Motor Control Centers.
- Hands-on experience executing test electrical procedures, calibrations, and tests.
- Detailed understanding of what drives Area Classification and all implications for electrical design, testing, and maintenance.
- Experience reading, understanding, developing, and troubleshooting logic (Relay, PLC, Function Block, Cause and Effect, SAMA, Script, etc.).
- Experience using and implementing industrial communication protocols (i.e. Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Fieldbus, Profinet, Wireless HART, HART, etc.).
- Demonstrated knowledge of current NFPA 70E principles and practices.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Successful completion of Electrician or Instrumentation Apprenticeship program
- An Associate’s Degree or higher in instrumentation, electrical technology, or similar certification
- Demonstrated experience with industrial controls, PLC’s, DCS, etc.
- Demonstrated experience working with PSM Compliance programs.
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in progressive responsibilities in the Petro/Chem Industry
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements through a Physical Abilities Test (i.e., working in different climates and conditions, lift up to 50 lbs., climb at heights up to 200 feet, wearing all PPE)
- Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
- Willingness and ability to work Monday through Thursday 10-hour shifts from 6:45am- 4:45pm with a rotating on-call schedule within the I&E department.
