Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking a Production Superintendent for an emerging opportunity within our Digital Printing business unit Hummingbird®. The Production Superintendent will be responsible for performance, development and coaching of the Digital Printing team and the Shipping/Warehouse team. This role will also provide leadership direction for all print related operations, operator maintenance and be responsible for safely achieving performance goals.
The position is a key leadership role on the Hummingbird® management team and will be based at our West Chester, OH facility and will report to the Director of Operations for this business segment.

What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop all digital press operators to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
- Optimize staffing across shifts and ensure continuous education improves problem solving and technical skills while aligning with process and equipment changes.
- Maximize value creation at the press by utilizing Koch’s PBM® Guiding Principles to improve digital press operators’ overall capability and performance.
- Identify and align operational priorities with commercial business vision - ensure production and delivery of the highest quality products at the lowest costs and waste, consistent with customer requirements, company plans, and profit objectives.
- Partner with plant leadership to enhance facility performance and metrics by facilitating continuous improvements initiatives.
- Build and maintain a cohesive team of leaders and provide leadership coaching and development.
- Partner with maintenance team on routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, ensuring operator-specific tasks are assigned and executed with proper feedback.
- Maintain a positive work environment for all employees.
- Spend time on the press floor engaging with employees and overseeing operations as appropriate.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing, military, or industrial environment.
- Experience setting and achieving production and continuous improvement goals.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed to accommodate operations.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Five (5) or more years leading a team in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating and/or supervising printing presses or high-tech manufacturing.
- Experience training employees in a print environment, and color management knowledge.
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other similar Continuous Improvement systems.
