Our Savannah River Mill is looking for an Allocator. This role will work in a high energy and dynamic organization. The Allocator will learn, apply, and teach the equipment theory of operation and the operational processes. This role will report directly to the assigned shift Performance Coach (PC). An Allocator will work a rotating 12-hour shift that includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime hours.
The pay starts at $21 per hour with competitive benefits and no maximum range on pay.
Our Team
Our Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world-class operation in the industry. Five of the world’s 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility. Our operation is designed to produce products primarily from recycled fiber. We have over 50 converting lines that make the tissue, towel, and napkin products in our retail and away from home markets. What You Will Do in Your Role
- Lead and mentor fellow team members to apply PBM® in ways that are consistent with our Guiding Principles
- Manage day to day staffing for the Material Handlers in the Logistics Department
- Lead, mentor, coach, and hold Material Handlers accountable
- Overseeing the warehouse management system and the operations floor to ensure all materials are consistently delivered to converting assets
- Interact with various customers outside of GP employees, including NFI, waste management groups, spotters, trailer drivers, etc.
- Facilitate any delivery issues within the converting and paper departments
- Be aware of all Lift Trucks activity - including necessary repairs, location of trucks, spares needed in staging areas, etc.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- At least twelve (12) months experience in a manufacturing, industrial, farming, construction, and/or military environment
- Experience working with others or as part of a team
- Experience using the following software: JDA, Icpaqs, SAP, MS Office Suite, Sharepoint, and/or Convergence
- High School Diploma or GED
What Will Put You Ahead
- 2 or more years of experience in a Material Handling and/or Converting role
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Organizational and administration experience
- Customer service experience
Schedule: The Mill operates 24/7 and 365 days per year. Therefore, our mill operates using a 12-hour rotating schedule that includes holidays, weekends, and overtime. Our rotating schedule allows for a regular 14 days off every 4-week period. See example below.
DS = Day Shift 6:50 A.M. - 7:10 P.M.
NS = Night Shift 6:50 P.M. - 7:10 A.M
O = Off

Pay: Pay starts at $21 per hour with opportunities for training and growth. All positions do not have a limit on pay range.
