Georgia-Pacific is looking for a motivated and organized Technical Product Owner to join our team. The Technical Product Owner will be based out of our Collaboration and Support Center (CSC) in Atlanta, Georgia.
Our Team
The CSC team partners with our operating facilities by providing collaboration and support across multi-disciplines of expertise (GP and Vendors) to achieve scalable problem solving across manufacturing sites and businesses. The team uses the best available technology with an enterprise-wide approach. This role will focus on designing innovative ways to communicate insights to the CSC and its partners.
What You Will Do
- Product Vision and Strategy:
- Define and communicate the computer vision product vision, goals, and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap that aligns with the company's overall strategy.
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Elicit and document detailed product requirements from various stakeholders.
- Analyze and prioritize requirements based on business value, technical feasibility, and other relevant factors.
- Backlog Management:
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed, up-to-date, and aligned with the product vision.
- Break down large, complex features into smaller, manageable user stories or tasks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, UX/UI designers, QA teams, site deployment teams and other relevant departments.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure everyone understands the computer vision product goals and requirements.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of the computer vision technology stack, architecture, and infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and make informed decisions regarding system design and architecture with the support of solutions architect.
- Prioritization and Release Planning:
- Work closely with the development team to prioritize user stories and features for each sprint or release.
- Collaborate with the team to set release goals and expectations.
- Acceptance Criteria and User Stories:
- Define clear and concise acceptance criteria for user stories to ensure they meet the specified requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning and review sessions to validate that user stories are implemented correctly.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and dependencies associated with the computer vision product and work with relevant teams to mitigate them.
- Market and Competitive Analysis:
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Previous experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Solutions Architect, or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud-based services (Amazon Web Services, Azure, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow Agile, Trello, etc.).
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools.
- Background working with computer vision models.
- Previous experience working in Amazon Web Services environment.
