Lubrication Technician

Our Particleboard facility in Diboll, Texas is looking for a Lubrication Technician to join their team. This position is an experienced skilled crafts role that creates value by performing a variety of maintenance duties by ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals.
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific’s Diboll particle board facility uses state of the art innovation and technology to manufacture particle board for the construction and cabinetry industry. Our particle board is used primarily in custom cabinetry and in self-assembled cabinetry sold by international furniture stores.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for lubrication of equipment assets, and for maintaining lube room, equipment, and storage. Work with site personnel to ensure all equipment assets are lubricated with correct lubricant types and quantities, and in the correct intervals.
- Collaborate with reliability and planning groups to ensure preventative maintenance system is set up to adequately lubricate equipment. Facilitate knowledge sharing relative to lubrication program.
- Primary contact for lubrication vendor.
- Responsible for annual lubrication audit results and action plan.
- Complete lubrication routes as assigned.
- Ensure adequate training of site personnel who may also perform lubrication tasks.
- Create standard maintenance procedures where needed.
- Utilize MOE and MP2 to create value-added work requests and prioritize upcoming work assignments.
- Troubleshoot and identify failures of hydraulic pumps, reducers, valves, sprockets, cylinders, chains, regulators, bearings, and other moving components.
- Participate in RCA (root cause analysis) process.
- Maintain auto lube systems.
- Conduct weekly lube inventory and work with relevant personnel to order needed components.
- Work with reliability personnel to set up lubrication analysis program, conduct oil analysis with on-site oil lab, and documentation of results in monthly Asset Health Report.
- Collaborate with maintenance department as needed to ensure quality equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Demonstrates initiative to complete scheduled jobs.
- Obtain MLT-1 certification within six months of service.
- Obtain MLA-1 certification within twelve months of service
- Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, lock out/tag out rules and hearing/eye protection policies.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and environmentally sound work environment, including housekeeping.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation function
- Experience using a computer for email, data entry, creating documents, etc.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in maintenance or lubrication technician role
- Experience analyzing equipment component failures, troubleshooting, and recommending preventative maintenance improvements
- Completion of trade school degree or certificate in mechanical or related fields
