Your Job
As the Director of Data Platforms and Services, you will lead the successful delivery and support of data products, services, and AI initiatives from Molex’s Digital Core. As a key member of our lead team your primary focus will be to engage with stakeholders and 3rd party subcontractors to ensure that products and services are delivered against commitments, leveraging our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), Snowflake, EBX MDM, and SAP BW. You will play a pivotal role in the prioritization of incoming demand, aligning delivery of data products with business strategy and objectives, while you and your team maintain a high level of customer satisfaction in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Our Team
Molex is investing in a data-centric architecture to better enable data-driven decision-making. Our Data Platforms and Services team plays a crucial role in supporting multiple initiatives requiring data products and services including Molex’s evolving AI initiatives. This role will help drive success in a fast-paced environment by being an effective leader to our delivery team, effectively prioritizing demand, and excelling in relationship management with our Stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Support the professional growth and development of team members.
- Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with our Business Partners and Digital Partners to understand their requirements, gather feedback, and address their needs. Champion a customer-centric approach throughout the product lifecycle.
- Demand Management: Work closely with Business Partners and other internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize demand. Understand customer needs and business objectives to ensure the effective allocation of resources and successful delivery of commitments including Service Level Agreements, enhancements and continuous improvements, and large project deliverables.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with 3rd party subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project timelines, deliverables, and contractual commitments. Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Budget Oversight: Collaborate with Finance and Executive Leadership to track expenses, manage the forecast to plan, and optimize spending, including project related expenses,
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Solid understanding of data engineering, data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies in a manufacturing or similar industry context.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in project management with a focus on enterprise data platforms or data projects or AI initiatives.
- Experienced leader, good at motivating, providing feedback and guiding a diverse team of talent.
- Effective communicator. Comfortable presenting and establishing rapport with internal and external stakeholders at the executive level. Can meet people at all levels where they are at.
- Experienced at negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Proven ability to prioritize multiple demands and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of data governance, data management, and data security principles.
- Ability to work in an adaptive, fast paced environment.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years’ experience) in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated passion for digital transformation and leveraging data to drive successful outcomes.
- Experience with multiple project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
