INVISTA is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Victoria, TX. The Electrical Project Manager will support the capital projects group and site operations activities with electrical engineering principles, expertise, leadership in solving and improving the equipment, processes, and procedures at the site.What You Will Do
- Provide project management and electrical engineering with focus on Low / Medium / High voltage equipment and systems for the INVISTA Victoria Site infrastructure. This will include equipment and infrastructure troubleshooting, replacement, design improvements, technological standardization and innovation, maintenance strategies, and optimization opportunities. Involvement includes project scope development, project estimating, project review, project management, design, and implementation.
- Develop project scopes and estimates, write equipment specifications, review quotes, and recommend equipment and materials, size cables, conduit, starters, VFDs, and power distribution equipment.
- Manage project specific third-party design and construction contractors, schedules, scope development and control, budgets, checkout, commissioning, start-up, and other engineering/management activities.
- Develop the scope and cost estimates for capital projects and participate in justification of projects, specification reviews, drawing reviews, safety reviews, and other project deliverable document reviews.
- Provide detail design support and provide technical assistance to operations, purchasing, project management and construction management.
- Communicate with internal customers, site leadership, project stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
- Work closely with INVISTA high voltage team, operations, and maintenance to develop all aspects of design requirements for each project.
- Provide pre and post startup assistance to Construction and Operations to assure that all systems are functioning properly.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years engineering experience in a Chemical Plant, Refinery, or heavy industrial facility
- Ability to interpret electrical system one-line drawings and schematics
- Project management experience
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
