Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking a Finance Manager located in Wichita, KS, Tulsa, OK or Houston, TX. This role creates value by improving business outcomes as a strategic member at KES’s Equipment, Technology, and Services (ET&S) business unit and by building close relationships with business leaders that allow for healthy challenge processes and economic thinking. The successful candidate will drive cross capability solutions and be a change agent, championing transformation by defining what good looks like and creating clear strategies and roadmaps to close gaps while applying Principle Based Management.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a key partner to ET&S leaders working with commercial, operations, supply chain to provide financial leadership that influences and supports business decisions and prioritization
- Frame up opportunities and develop knowledge processes that drive business strategy, enable better and faster decisions, lead to profitable action, and promote accountability
- Improve the speed to decisions through effective use of Principle Based Management (PBM) economic thinking principles. Develop this capability in others through coaching
- Partner with internal KES/Koch Industries Inc. (KII) capabilities (e.g., controller organization, data analytics, etc.) to develop in-depth data analytics and compelling visualizations
- Evaluate the cost structure and profitability of various customers, product lines, geographies, business units etc. to inform strategic decisions including capital investment, cost, and pricing strategies
- Actively engage and develop strong relationships with the business leadership team(s), the controller organization, financial operations, and other stakeholders to better understand, anticipate, and meet business needs
- Develop strategies to optimize capital consumed and ROCC
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Financial modeling experience which includes key driver analysis, economic framing, Business and/or Operations strategies, and innovative approaches to visualization (e.g., EVA, NPV, ROCC, NIAT)
- Experience building strategic partnerships and providing thought leadership, including value creation opportunities, and communicating insights effectively
- Experience applying strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; including originating ideas, collecting data, establishing facts, performing analysis, drawing conclusions, and presenting a point of view to key stakeholders and business leaders
- Ability to drive application of economic tools/mental models (e.g., marginal analysis, Decision Making Framework (DMF)/business cases, opportunity cost, risk optimization, capital consumed framework etc.)
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or Office 365; that includes Advanced Excel skills (spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, graphs, data manipulation/analysis and formula creation)
What Will Put You Ahead
- Progressive growth in financial analysis, strategic planning, business development, business decision support, or related roles with increasing scope and scale
- Demonstrated experience in framing and modeling investment and process improvement opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with data analysis/visualization tools beyond Microsoft Excel (i.e., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, etc.)
