Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Naheola, AL Manufacturing Analytics team. This role creates value for the organization by providing actionable manufacturing analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering with our operations to create value and close gaps.
In this role, you will report directly to a Manager of Analysis within the Financial Planning and Analysis organization and will support the Naheola Alabama mill directly. The individual in this role should be located in relative proximity to the mill in AL or our corporate HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. A regular onsite presence is needed at either location. We have a hybrid schedule of in office days and the opportunity to work from home part time.
Our Team The Financial Planning and Analysis team is made up of individuals across all of our GP operations and our corporate headquarters in Atlanta.
What We Do: We focus on supporting our manufacturing teams with reporting, Forecasting, variance analysis and identifying cost savings opportunities. We serve as the primary financial business partners for our sites. We are supported by our fiduciary partners as well as other Centers Of Excellence for Inventory, Internal Financial Controls, and Capital.

What You Will Do
- Perform financial analysis to support decision making and drive operational improvements in manufacturing
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing KPIs ranging from productivity to cost (including direct & indirect) to help identify insights and opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seek and share knowledge, identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, and propose solutions
- Mentor and develop junior financial analysts on the team
- Advance the Principle-Based Management® (PBM®) culture by applying and reinforcing the company’s Values
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Progressive career experience in a financial analysis, accounting, cost accounting, operations finance, or related role(s)
- Demonstrated understanding of key accounting and financial concepts, economic principles, variance analysis, marginal analysis, and key business drivers

What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Experience with SQL, R, or Python
- Advanced MS Excel skills (i.e. financial modeling, forecasting, graphs, charts, pivots, macros)
- Experience with data analysis/visualization tools (i.e. Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik)
- Manufacturing industry experience (Consumer Products a plus)
