INVISTA is seeking an experienced I&E Lead to support the Asset Management group at our Houston Propylene Plant (HCP).
The I&E Lead is responsible for managing the Instrumentation Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and I/E Specialists. Houston Chemical was the first Catofin propane dehydrogenation plant in the United States, and worldwide, we remain the most productive Catofin plant in our size class.
This role will work a 9/80 schedule and is eligible for relocation incentives.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and develop the Instrument Engineers, Electrical Engineers, and specialists
- Assist in driving priorities across the Asset Management Group.
- Instrument and Electrical Mechanical Integrity Programs Owner (including SIS)
- I&E site asset strategies owner and developer.
- Own I&E scoping, planning, and execution support for outages and turnarounds.
- Assist instrument technicians and operations with troubleshooting of instruments.
- Perform Root Cause Analyses on instrumentation failures and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support commissioning activities for small cap projects, large cap projects, and site turnarounds.
- Communicate with external partners and internal resources across Koch Industries on instrumentation technology.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Technical, electrical, and/or engineering experience in a process industry such as refining or petrochemicals
What Will Put You Ahead
- Ten (10) or more years’ experience as an Electrical Specialist or Engineer in a process industry, such as refining or petrochemicals
- Previous experience as a supervisor
