Koch Ag & Energy Solutions is seeking a Tax Accounting Supervisor to join the Team!
Our Team
The Tax Accounting Supervisor will report to the company Controller and be a part of the larger Controller Team, which includes consolidated financial and management reporting. The position is based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS and has a flexible schedule.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with a large arena of internal customers in the business, finance, controllers, and tax compliance teams.
- Lead and mentor analysts and senior analysts throughout the tax accounting capability (including both income tax and indirect tax such as US sales and use tax, VAT, GST, etc.).
- Partner and provide guidance on treatment for complex accounting topics.
- Analytically evaluate and coordinate the quarter/year end forecast and actual financial results as well as connect stakeholders to key drivers.
- Communicate anticipated tax results to key stakeholders based on business operations and key drivers.
- Identify and drive transformation and waste elimination opportunities that will provide value within the business and tax accounting organizations.
- Perform accounting activities in compliance with financial, regulatory, and corporate accounting policies and guidelines, including but not limited to monthly tax provisions, journal entries, consolidations, and business reports.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in a leadership role (developing a team, leading transformation, project leadership, etc.)
- Experience leading a team through complex tax and accounting situations and initiatives
- Experience in financial accounting - in corporate or state income taxation, direct and/or indirect tax accounting, financial reporting, or accounting related roles
- Experience managing large volumes of data from multiple systems and using advanced tools to perform analysis and develop a point of view
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience using OneStream, Tableau, Alteryx, or other data visualization tools and Process Improvement / Process Transformation / Process Implementation experience
- Understanding of international, federal, and state income tax concepts including knowledge of indirect taxes such as state sales and use tax, VAT, GST, etc.
- Knowledge of US GAAP requirements (research, whitepapers, memos)
