The Controller’s (Accounting) Org. within Georgia Pacific is seeking Accounting/Analyst interns to join our team(s) this upcoming Summer 2024 in one of our mutually agreed upon Georgia Pacific locations.

What You Will Do
The GP Controllers Organization is comprised of multiple teams that are working together to enable well-informed business decisions by our business partners. We accomplish that by organizing our capabilities to provide the opportunities for team members to contribute as part of:
· Fiduciary includes capabilities that deliver the accounting services needed to enable the recording and reporting of accurate financial statements for our businesses. These capabilities also establish the foundation for enabling other Controllers’ teams to deliver their services (e.g., FP&A). For example:
· Financial Close Management & Consolidation
· Financial Statement Integrity
· Accounting Policy
· Legal Entity Accounting
· Fixed Asset Accounting
· Inventory Accounting
· Corporate Development Support Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
· Internal Financial Controls, and Compliance Management.
· Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) includes capabilities that build upon our foundational accounting services performed by our Fiduciary teams to support analysis and insight development for business decision makers. For example:
· Forecasting & Planning
· Product Costing
· Business Performance Analysis
· Manufacturing Facility Analysis
· Capital Investment Analysis
· Internal/External Benchmarking
· Corporate Consolidated Mgmt & Reporting
· Business Segment & Manufacturing Reporting
· Sales, General, and Administrative (SG&A) Expenses/Cost of Sales Capability Reporting
· Transformation includes enabling capabilities that support strategy development, execution, and change leadership in alignment with our vision to best serve our customers. For example:
· Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Implementation Support
· Business Process Optimization
· Global Accounting Transformation
· Data Strategy & Governance
· Financial Systems
· Organizational Strategy & Execution
· Enterprise Invoice Management (A/P)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
- Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2025.
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
- Strong critical and economic thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Desire and aptitude for fast-paced learning
