Flint Hills Resources is seeking a qualified Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support our Pipelines and Terminals assets in Corpus Christi, TX and surrounding areas.
This role will be responsible for the specification, installation, testing and repair of all types of industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment used in the operation of crude and refined product pipelines, terminals, and pump stations. The right candidate will be creating value utilizing critical thinking skills to solve problems, manage work and execute task.
This role also offers 9/80 flexible schedule.

What You Will Do
- Installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all industrial Instrumentation, Communication, Controllers and Electrical equipment up to 4160V.
- Reading/interpreting technical work orders, blueprints, technical manuals, single line electrical drawings, electrical code specifications, schematics, P&ID, PLC Logic, and instrument loop drawings to maintain proficiency in procedures, codes, and standards.
- Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigating the root cause of a failure in a product, process, or system and document the information to present, develop and implement a solution to prevent recurrence of the failure.
- Develop scope and lead a project team to ensure all aspects of the project are properly considered, including scope selection, safety, environmental, compliance, construction, operation, and reliability. Effectively communicate project status to various stakeholders within the organization.
- Document and manage maintenance activity and work orders utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support a on call rotation.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 2+ years of experience performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibrating industrial Instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, and level).
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and maintenance of 480v electrical components.
- 1+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial communication equipment.
- 1+ years of experience years of experience troubleshooting Programable Logic Controllers.
- 1+ years of experience using Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Availability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, on-call, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Accredited Degree or Certification in an Instrumentation, Electrical or similar field.
- 5+ years performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibrating industrial Instrumentation (flow, pressure, temperature, and level).
- Medium voltage maintenance (4160V) experience.
- Experience working in an industrial process environment.
