Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated Packaging division is looking for a Growth Sales Representative to support our Mount Olive, Illinois box facility & corrugated packaging business in the Missouri market focused on new business development.
In this role you will start with a competitive salary eligible for a semi-annual bonus and transition to fully commissioned compensation. A successful Growth Sales Representative will have a demonstrated track record of sustained growth and profitable sales. The Growth Sales Representative will focus on new business development, margin analysis, value creation and general market awareness. The ideal candidate will reside between Columbia and St. Louis Missouri as this position will be supporting the geographic area/market in the field 50% of the time (some overnights included). This position reports to the Area Sales Manager.

What You Will Do
- Daily demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset and managing your territory like it’s your own business with the primary focus on new business development; determining potential opportunities from prospecting, networking, marketing leads, and other sources.
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships and actively seek opportunities resulting in growth.
- Responsible for identifying industry trends and market analysis; analyze customer forecast, demands and ordering patterns and interacting with various internal and external customers.
- Proactively manage customer projects to ensure customer needs are understood and met, including facilitating product development activities, coordinating production trials and press checks.
- You will have exposure/work cross collaboratively within GP capabilities and act as the liaison between GP customers and internal customer service, quality, design, production, accounting, shipping, marketing departments etc.
- Within new business development you will spend time focusing on prospecting by utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, CRM Microsoft Dynamics and working with the Salesforce Effectiveness Team to build and maintain an effective strategic pipeline of prospects & projects.
- Daily demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure, self-motivated, strong time management, and committed to personal and team success.
- Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Daily you will maintain a sales pipeline tool, monthly forecast, account profiles, create competitive analysis, develop account strategies, analyze pricing data, managing inventory and accounts receivable for your assigned territory.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 2 or more years of outside sales and/or B2B experience with a proven record of success
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Packaging sales experience
- Completion of a sales training program
