Leaf River Cellulose LLC in New Augusta, Mississippi, has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer Lead to continue improving our reliability performance. The position will manage the mill’s lubrication program and crew. This role will also function as the Hydraulic systems subject matter expert.
Our Team
The Leaf River Cellulose Mill is a large paper plant, north of New Augusta, Mississippi. They produce filter grade pulp and market pulp, which is used in the manufacturing of coffee filters, vacuum cleaner bags, automotive filters, printing paper, tissue paper, and coated paper.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for proper lubrication of mill assets, working with site personnel to ensure all equipment assets are lubricated with correct lubricant types and quantities, and in the correct intervals.
- Collaborate with reliability and planning groups to ensure preventative maintenance system is set up to adequately lubricate equipment.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing relative to lubrication program.
- Support maintenance personnel in troubleshooting complex hydraulic systems.
- Propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials, which would result in cost reduction or operational improvement.
- Create custom drawings and system specifications.
- Manage bill of materials and design documentation.
- Evaluate P&ID''s and process diagrams for fluid systems.
- Upgrade and troubleshoot electromechanical systems.
- Responsible for managing site lubrication technicians.
- Become a SME in hydraulic systems to support the mill.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience with maintenance software and data management.
- Knowledge of the principles of fluid power systems and the ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
- Basic understanding of electrical components/controls.
- Experience in lubrication program management.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Completion of degree or certificate in mechanical engineering
- Experience in hydraulic system diagnosis and repair
- Hydraulics or Lubrication Certification
