What You Will Do
·
- Advancement of Operator capabilities, improved operator OBC/reliability effectiveness, process consistency, and knowledge gap closure in our processes.
- Coaching, and mentoring employees to develop troubleshooting skills and decision-making capabilities. Expand supervisors and hourly employees’ knowledge and skills. Administer training audits to verify training knowledge and skills.
- Work closely with converting employees and supervisors to find opportunities to improve safety & productivity, minimize cost and reduce process variability.
- Conduct process training meeting to ensure are operators are connected to the initiative/expectations. Address gaps in an efficient manner that allows Albany’s converting department to accomplish goals.
- Challenge “This is how it’s always run” through statistical data that support findings.
- Help dispatch and conduct training needs, job, and task analyses as well as performance analyses when required.
- Pursue sites leading indicators to help the converting department achieve and exceed the Financial, Production, and Reliability Plans, AMT BETS, and deliver on our production daily goals.
- Take ownership of converting department in critical tasks such as ensuring training materials, deliver training, develop SOPs, LTV are completed timely.
- Seek opportunities to improve customer experience in quality and OTIF.
- Embrace and foster PBM culture; pursue opportunities to learn and develop knowledge and share the knowledge with all employees: hourly and salary.
- Oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of training materials used for converting department.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
·
- PCS/KIWI/KRONOS knowledge
- Experience working within a continuous manufacturing operation
- Corrugated Box Converting experience with trouble shooting experience
- 3 years of experience supervising, training employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial OR military environment
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with writing and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Experience working within Pulp and Paper industry
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Operations or Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading a training/learning and development team
- Experience in developing a curriculum as well as task to training matrices
