Your Job
As an Environmental Engineer working within the Koch Capabilities environmental technical capability, you will have the opportunity to work with numerous KII businesses and sites on their environmental needs (e.g. compliance support, reporting, metrics, data strategy, etc.) A focus area for this role will be supporting environmental management systems and work processes wherein you will play a pivotal role in the selection, configuration, and management of EMS tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (environmental program owners, IT professionals, third party consultants, etc.) to ensure environmental processes are transformed in the right manner (i.e., in alignment with our environmental transformation vision, through application of the decision-making framework [DMF], marginal analysis, application of KII’s risk philosophy, etc.) This role requires a solid foundation of environmental knowledge as well as understanding of environmental data management, EMS configuration and integration, and a commitment to driving positive impact to environmental compliance and stewardship through application of technology.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Support: Provide environmental support to customers on a variety of environmental needs as comparatively advantaged (e.g., reporting support, benchmarking and metrics, development of points of view, emerging issues support, knowledge-share, etc.)
- EMS Support: Provide environmental support to customers on the following aspects of EMS:
a. EMS Selection: Partner with stakeholders to assist with the selection of the right tool / technology, in accordance with our transformation vision and through application of PBM.
b. Software Configuration: Provide critical thinking and environmental oversight to the team that is doing the configuration and/or installation of the selected EMS tool.
c. Data Integration: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., IT) to integrate environmental data from various sources into the tools, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and sustainability.
d. Training and Support: Assist with training and technical support to environmental program owners (end users) on the use of the EMS such that they can own, run, and maintain it.
e. Quality Assurance: Help the environmental program owners (end users) implement quality control processes as well as general best management practices to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data collected and reported through the EMS.
f. Reporting and Analytics: Assist the environmental program owners with reports, dashboards, and analyses using the EMS to monitor progress, identify trends, detect anomalies, and support decision-making.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
· Experience in Environmental Engineering or related field
· Experience in Environmental compliance and management systems (reporting, metrics, data strategy)
· Ability to Travel up to 25%
What Will Put You Ahead
· Project Management experience
· Experience with environmental data management and software tools (Cority, Enablon, Alteryx, etc.)
· Degree in Environmental Engineering or similar
For this role, we anticipate paying $80,000 - $100,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
