We are seeking a Manager, External Operations, to manage the supplier base for finished goods products for Georgia Pacific’s Consumer Products. This role will report to the Director, Contract Manufacturing Operations (Outsourced Goods) and be responsible for management of external manufacturer’s performance in quality, on-time service, and cost across the Georgia Pacific's Consumer Products business. This role will be responsible for product supplies, supplier relationship management, adherence to supply contracts, overall operational effectiveness, and support of new product initiatives.
This position is based in Atlanta, GA or Green Bay, WI area, with potential for hybrid work and up to 50% travel (mostly domestic travel and 1 - 2 times a year internationally). Travel may vary depending on location.

What You Will Do
- Define and implement best practices across supported categories and cross-functional teams
- Work seamlessly with supply planning and sourcing to cultivate key supplier relationships
- Define and deliver value creation, cost reduction, operations improvement and margin transformation targets for supported categories and across GP’s Consumer Products
- Be the strategic operational linkage for GP and the supplier
- Develop & maintain relationships with key business Category leaders and suppliers to enable improved quality, on-time service and cost for purchased finished goods
- Support GP supplier quality and sourcing to ensure quality requirements are met
- Provide performance feedback to Sourcing and Suppliers regarding quality, service and cost
- Work with Supply Chain Planning and Suppliers to ensure a clear understanding of supplier capacity, efficiency, and planning parameters
- Support innovation efforts by working closely with R&D, Sourcing and Business Category teams to ensure new product introductions are successfully executed
- Establish safety stock and visibility of critical and long lead time components in supplier inventory
- Ensure active and accurate management of GP owned materials and assets at supplier locations
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, or related fields
- 5+ years of experience in a supplier management role
- Experience with proactive supplier relationship management and continuous improvement
- Knowledge/certification in project management, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma, etc.
- Experience delivering positive outcomes by building and leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Flexible to travel internationally and domestically up to 50% of the time
What Will Put You Ahead
- Master's degree in supply chain management or industrial engineering or APICS certified
- Previous experience in one of these areas: Injection molding process or high-speed assembly process
- Previous experience in leading process improvement/continuous improvement projects using Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma
- Previous experience in External Operations Management in the consumer-packaged goods
- Previous experience using SAP and other supply chain system/tool
- Bilingual (read, write, speak) in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish
