We are looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to be a core member, and technical project leader on New Product Development teams. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the overall manufacturing strategy, providing coordination, and overseeing manufacturing technical disciplines. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will be empowered to lead and drive resources to overcome barriers and to achieve financial and technical assumptions of the program.
What You Will Do
- Serves as the leader between the Product Development Team (PDT) and manufacturing Subject Matter Experts to ensure products are Designed for Manufacturing and can be produced economically
- Partners with Procurement, Quality, and Product Engineering as an advocate for both the design center and the manufacturing plants
- Responsible for the overall manufacturing processes from concept to production hand-off
- Responsible for developing alternative strategies for manufacturing and leading the quotation process with input from various manufacturing groups
- Partner with and lead technical Subject Matter Experts in process development through designing, leading and analyzing trials and experiments
- Leading technical manufacturing investigations and develop solutions through collaboration and direct hands-on involvement
- Travel globally 10-20%
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in applied science or mechanical engineering or Industrial Engineering, or Skilled Through Alternative Routes
- Strong intrinsic leadership within multidisciplinary teams
- Is data-driven with experience in Leading systematic process trouble shooting, and continuous improvement using various tools such as Hypothesis Testing, DOE, 5-Why, 8D, DMIAC, Shainin Red X, etc.
- Experience working with manufacturing plants and engineering- performing feasibility and process capabilities as part of New Product Development
- Able to effectively compile, analyze and communicate data results/conclusions and making decisions/recommendations accordingly

- Experience in connector/header production processes (stamping, plating, molding, and/or assembly)
