Molex is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the manufacturing operations for our Phoenix, AZ facility. In this position, you will have direct responsibility for the overall prosperity of the site while achieving our corporate goals and objectives. The Plant Manager will collaborate closely with our engineering, operations, quality and maintenance teams to oversee plant operations, and coordinate with our materials departments to achieve the delivery of high-quality products. The Plant Manager role will have an enhanced focus on optimization of site operations and the integration of cultural initiatives for the site.

This Molex facility works with custom fiber optic assemblies, bundles, and specialty fibers including gold and aluminum metalized fibers for industrial and medical applications.
What You Will Do
- Leading and developing our culture (Principled Based Management) and implementing the Phillips Medisize Business Model utilizing the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) Operating system
- Lead and deploy objectives specifically to support competitive manufacturing operating costs
- Meet customer commitments while assuring the facilities produce to standard or better with a formal continuous improvement plan to reduce waste, variance, labor, direct and indirect costs
- Capacity planning and understanding of the customer programs (new and existing) and status to ensure compliance to schedule short and long-term launch projects
- Collaborate in preparing business plans for the facility and making capital spending recommendations, including technology capability considerations
- Work with the corporate team in a supporting or leading role, e.g. quality, safety, training, accounting, information technology, human resources, facilities, and the Technology Center Ensure compliance within the facility
- Identify, develop and reward the talent and expertise of manufacturing staff, by supporting sound processes for staff selection and development, pay administration, coaching and mentoring
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, finance, or business OR equivalent experienc
- Two (2) years or more leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, line balancing and 6S
- Knowledge of fiber optics, contract manufacturing and associated processes
- Experience establishing systems and processes to work within a regulated environment
