Georgia-Pacific has openings for Production Associates at our packaging facility in La Mirada, CA. We are looking for motivated self-starters with a passion for safety. This position creates value by providing support in operations and working as a team to produce a quality product for our customers in a timely manner. Production Associates contribute to a safe and clean plant environment by performing general housekeeping duties in different areas of the production floor. Successful candidates for this role must be available to 2nd and 3rd shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Position Specific Details and Highlights:
- Starting wages are $20.50 per hour with shift differentials of 2nd shift $.16 per hour & 3rd shift $.21 per hour.
- Shifts include: 1st shift: Monday – Friday 6am – 2pm; 2nd shift: Monday – Friday 2pm – 10pm; and 3rd shift: Monday – Friday 10pm – 6am
- These roles work flexible shifts (days, swing, graveyard) weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed. Shift placement will be determined upon need at time of hire.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
- Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
- Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
- Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area
- Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
- Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
- Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse OR military environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
- One (1) year or more experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment
- Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
This role is part of the collective bargaining agreement, and the starting pay is set at $20.50 per hour. This role is eligible for an additional $.16 per hour while working on 2nd shift and $.21 per hour while working on 3rd shift.
