Your Job
As a Quality Engineer you will work closely with the Product Development team members developing and maintaining a Quality Plan to manage and mitigate project risk to ensure a Flawless Product Launch that meets customers Cost, Quality, Delivery requirements.
You will perform advanced quality planning and to deploy necessary quality controls on new products as assigned by supervisors to ensure good parts are shipped to customers meet or exceed customer's expectation.
You will develop qualification plans for all internal processes and purchased products.

What You Will Do
- Ensures the project Quality Plan for new products and product modifications are focused on the voice of customer and all project quality deliverables are completed in a timely manner
- Facilitate process FMEA reviews by providing inputs on internal and external quality history, lessons learned and through active critical thinking / questioning. Reviews and approved reliability test and quality deployment plans
- Facilitate the development of measurement plans / methods and lead the disposition of new products at FAI and Qualification. Ownership of gauges & necessary inspection fixtures. Performs MSA, Capability Studies & any necessary statistical analysis for Tool & Process Qualification.
- Work with Design AQP or MQA to conduct Safe Launch exercise. Performs process audits and reverse (go & see) FMEA’s to qualify new production processes and to ensure conformance to documented control plans for new products
- Ensures customer required documentation related to customer acceptance of new products and product modifications are completed
- Reviews and approves supplier product specific documentation on new and modified purchased components. Works with supplier quality engineer to ensure conformance. Take corrective and preventive action with suppliers as part of the 8D process.
- Lead in the problem solving (8D’s), analysis, and resolution of new product related customer complaints or internal quality complaints for new products. Support efforts for prevention of repeat issues & systemic improvements to the PDP to reduce New Products QNs
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- University Degree in Engineering or related field
- Working experiences in manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in Quality Engineering or related engineering field
- Fundamental Quality Knowledge (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA6.3, QC Tools: APQP/FMEA/SPC/MSA/PPAP)
- Knowledge of Environmental Standards (ISO 14001, REACH),
- Problem Solving Tools (8D, 5why, FTA)
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Ability to use inspection and measurement tools
- Able to travel when required
- Good level of English
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in connector industry with working knowledge of electronic assembly, testing, moulding, stamping, plating, and assembly processes
- Supplier Auditing experience, Gauge and Fixture design
- Working experience performing PFMEA/DFMEA and using other Advanced Quality Planning tools
