Your Job
As the VP of Software and Integration Engineering you will be a member of the Core IT leadership team reporting to the CIO. You and your organization will be responsible for the development and advancement of all engineered software that supports the Georgia-Pacific enterprise. You will also be responsible for custom system to system integrations that support technology integration across the enterprise.
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific IT consist of leaders aligned to our Business segments and our Capabilities that partner to develop transformation strategies and road maps to deliver the strategies. There is also a group of IT capability leaders that run teams enabling and delivering upon those roadmaps. We are a team of 10 making up the GP IT CLT.
This will be a hybrid opportunity based out of our Atlanta HQ with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week.
What You Will Do
- Organize, lead, manage, and mentor multiple teams of software engineers and integration specialists to foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with senior IT leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive software development and integration strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals and objectives.
- Partner with business partners at all levels of the organization to understand and align on an IT strategy that allows us to be more successful and capture maximum enterprise value.
- Institute common practices, processes and tools that will drive efficiency and effectiveness in your delivery processes.
- Drive a culture of excellence in software development, emphasizing best practices, code quality, and adherence to industry standards.
- Work closely with enterprise architecture, technology strategists and product owners to understand business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and ensure effective integration between software systems.
- Work with technology strategy teams to develop application rationalization roadmaps that retire non-differentiated solutions.
- Identify where differentiated solutions can be improved and modernized. Develop plans to modernize.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in software engineering and integration technologies, and proactively recommend innovative solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to team members to promote professional growth and enhance their skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, identify solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and assess the performance of software applications and integration processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.
- Oversee the documentation of software architecture, design specifications, and integration processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity within the organization.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience leading a modern software delivery organization in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with Cloud native development
- Experience driving and establishing software development delivery that operates in a product -centered agile method
- Experience leading, coaching and mentoring engineering and integrations leaders
- Experience working with software leaders to consolidate applications.

- Experience leading a modern software delivery organization that develops software for an internal business operations.
- Experience in a B2B Manufacturing and commerce company
- Experience with AWS, our preferred cloud provider
