Koch Energy Services’ natural gas trading and marketing business is experiencing continued growth and success. As a member of the KES IT team, the Business Analyst will partner with the trading team to identify and deliver transformational solutions, enable business growth, and maximizing human potential. The business analyst will leverage their experience, design thinking and interpersonal skills to translate business needs into specific solution designs, represent the functionality to the development team and own the successful delivery and implementation with the business.

The role can be based in Houston, TX or Wichita, KS with a hybrid schedule (2 days remote/3 days onsite).
What You Will Do
- Lead projects to improve capabilities, eliminate waste, and capture additional revenue opportunities based on the priorities of the business
- Drive changes for customers to accomplish their key strategies
- Partner with the business and information technology team responsible for the Trading capability and System functionality (Front Office business users, various functional user groups and information technology groups)
- Ensure system integrity, analysis around new business, process improvement, and system testing
- Create solutions which are flexible, user friendly and match the needs of our ever-growing knowledge-based company
- Support the expansion of the North American Natural Gas business, new commodity strategies and the corresponding system and functional requirements
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in a business analyst, business systems analyst, or process analyst role
- IT related experience in trading (commodities)
- Direct experience working with business users to deliver solutions through the delivery lifecycle
- Experience writing Business Requirements, Detailed Designs, Functional Specifications
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Natural Gas related systems and interacting with internal customers from Front office to Back office including familiarity with Front Office, Scheduling, Middle Office, Credit Risk, Settlements/Accounting and Market Risk processes of wholesale, asset management transactions
- Experience supporting Openlink modules and use of solution design methodologies like design thinking, agile, design sprint and lean.
- Understanding of Deal Modeling, PNL and Position reporting, PNL calculations for linear and non-linear deals, and working knowledge of Parametric VaR
