Our Team
- Provide program leadership to the New Product Development Process. Plan, operate and control the inter-related activities of new product realization to meet customers’ requirement.
- Develop and implement a cost-effective manufacturing strategy for new products to meet customer’s production and delivery requirements. Perform preliminary GCA to optimize strategy both low and high volumes.
- Lead projects from plant side taking ownership of critical new projects from Pre-PDRs through initial production ramp prior to mass production. Be single point contact for project co-ordination to link up the plant with the frontend PMs (domestic and overseas) or Program coordinators and drive to meets customer’s needs.
What You Will Do
- Lead a focused team consisting of product, all tooling PE’s and AQP to support product development process ensuring robust product design and manufacturability in low and high volumes. Identify limitations of the proposed design and suggest improvements to meet DFM and inspection guidelines to successfully launch new products. Provide feedback on process critical dimensions and product features.
- Provide program leadership to the New Product Development Process. Plan, operate and control the inter-related activities of new product realization to meet customer's requirement. Lead project teams in transforming fuzzy data into executable projects. (Requires coordination across multiple sites: MX-Lisle/MXS/MXDG/MXCD/MXSH).
- Execute and drive project from initiation to mass production readiness. Ensure timely project completion including qualification of tooling, parts and specific customer sample requirements.
- Develop manufacturing strategies for new products and drive the tooling development process to meet customer’s expectations of quality and optimal cost and lead-time. This involves working with product, marketing management, finance and senior management on analysis of multiple scenarios using GCA to arrive at optimal solution.
- Assist in project costing to provide GCA technical data, also help to propose a cost-efficient manufacturing strategy; identify cost reduction and yield loss opportunities. Monitor GCA vs Actual at launch; with regards to Capex, revenue, volumes, run rates. Work on further cost reduction / savings initiatives to maximize value creation and be competitive.
- Responsible for ensuring critical technical reviews and components buyoff meeting were promptly carried out per New Product Development Plan. Work with QA, AQP and manufacturing/tooling design engineers on initial launch project quality related issues.
- Monitor and track assigned project schedule - status /timeline /investment. Escalate barriers for resolution.
- Support plant in ramp up of new products as well of capacity expansions or product transfer.
- Promote Molex Singapore capability to PM and customers.
- Manage product portfolio assigned by Supervisor and continuously drive the product cost is competitive by driving cost reduction activities Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Diploma / Degree.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in project planning preferred or candidates with strong manufacturing experience.
- Leadership - To lead and drive cross functional teams (Includes all tooling, sourcing, PM, design, PJM). Drive to meet Customer needs in a timely manner. Project management skills to set goals.
- Technical Expertise - DFM for high volume production. Understanding of connector manufacturing process and strong in business details. Basic understanding of costing.
- Communication - Clear, concise and timely to avoid confusion. Timely response.
