The Georgia-Pacific Packerland facility is searching for an Electrical Reliability Engineer to support the operations and maintenance teams. This position will provide technical and engineering support and troubleshooting advice to the maintenance team and operational areas.

What You Will Do
- Support operations and maintenance through the application of control systems and troubleshooting of the processes to address technical issues with long term solutions in mind
- Read and understand P&ID's, loop sheets, and electrical drawings
- Program, maintain and support various PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and AC/DC variable speed drives
- Lead the Reliability efforts of the facility with a focus on electrical controls and instrumentation
- Integrate best maintenance technologies and practices into predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance programs
- Help the plant prioritize reliability work opportunities
- Participate and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis efforts to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions
- Support implementation of reliability processes aimed at developing skilled maintenance and operating personnel who operate with a reliability-centric mindset
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Two-year degree in Electrical Engineering or other electrical technical field OR in lieu of a degree, two or more years of electrical experience in a military or manufacturing environment
- Experience working with PLCs, HMIs, and/or drive systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
What Will Put You Ahead
- Electrical and mechanical systems knowledge in a manufacturing or military environment
- Experience with Reliability Improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis, preventative/predictive maintenance, KPIs)
- Experience using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) concepts to resolve issues concerning manufacturing assets.
- Pulp and Paper industry experience
