Molex a worldwide leader in manufacturing is seeking a full time Welding Operator to support our busbar manufacturing facility in Monee, IL. Candidates will be provided with on the job training in one or more of our production areas which offer a clean and climate controlled work space.
This position is eligible for a retention bonus in the amount of $500 after 6 months and an additional $500 after 1 year.
What You Will Do In Your Role:
- Complete each operation based on priorities, correctly per traveler instructions, perform quality checks, documents data sheet/print and fills in traveler properly per quality plan.
- Perform all secondary operations in braze area i.e., assemble, sand, deburr and clean parts at a standard pace.
- Set up and run product properly on Lori, Banner, Slammer, and Induction machine at a standard pace.
- Set up and run product on Torches at a standard pace.
- Assist in tig area preparing orders for welding and take care of secondary post weld processing.
- Assure PM’s are done correctly for all machines in brazing area.
- Cooperate with support groups to make sure brazing area is tooled up properly.
- Process product through acid baths.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules, regulations including wearing PPE.
- Comfortable working with fumes and airborne particles
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
- Experience with basic hand tools, such as power tools, saws and measuring tools.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with brazing, annealing, and welding.
- Experience reading blueprints and or following assembly drawings
